Today was our last day in Seoul, South Korea. It was filled with meeting new friends and some final sightseeing before packing our bags and preparing to fly home tomorrow!
Even so, we're sentimental about leaving Korea. I've teared up several times today as I've realized how near we are to closing this very special chapter in Evelyn's life. We can't wait to reach home and begin life as a family of three. But I also find it very emotional to be taking our daughter from all that is familiar to her. Her language, her people, her culture, her food.
We believe that our daughter was ordained to be born in this country but we also know that it is God's perfect will for her to be placed with her forever family and home in America.
He has already written every page of Evelyn's story and ordained it. He knew as He knit her together in her mother's womb what would be best for her life. He foresaw the hard but redeeming path that we and this precious child would walk on this journey. We feel very honored and privileged to play a role in His plan for her future. She has blessed us so much in just two short days.
Our next post probably won't be until Monday afternoon or later after we've settled in for a day or two back at home. Please keep us in your prayers.
Our journey isn't over. In fact, it's really just beginning!
